The Quinte Society for Chamber music is regional volunteer based organization working to make performances of classical music by highly accomplished concert artists accessible to all in our rural communities. QSCM is a registered Canadian Charity.
Founded in 2015 with the mission of making classical music accessible to all, QSCM has established a reputation for excellence in performance that leaves all who love classical music wowed, and those listening for the first time calling out for more.

Committed to developing a rural audience for classical music in the Quinte region QSCM brings the best classical musicians to perform in the stunning acoustic of St. Paul's United Church in Stirling and other intimate venues in our rural communities that allow everyone to get up close and personal with classical music at its best.

Many people in rural Ontario have never heard a professional performance of classical music. Others are intimidated by the sophisticated image as well as the expense of attending live and professional classical music events. The intimacy and versatility of chamber music makes it the ideal vehicle for attracting people who have never thought about listening to classical music much less going to a concert.
QSCM presents performances of chamber music by highly accomplished and exceptional professional musicians. We bring the music to the people in local venues where everyone in the community already feels comfortable. Our events are audience-friendly and enhanced with many opportunities to learn more about classical music . Our musicians interact with the audience from the stage and in post-performance social events.
QSCM fund-raises vigorously to keep ticket prices low so affordable for all. Attending a QSCM performance costs less than a night at the movies! QSCM members are entitled to $5 off 1 regularly priced ticket per membership for each full priced concert. Most of our outreach events are free of charge.
Since our founding season QSCM has offered many outstanding events featuring a diverse range of ensembles and repertoire. Incorporated in 2017 as a Ontario not-for-profit, in 2018 we became a registered Canadian Charity. Tax receipts are issued for donations over $10.00.

Artistic Director Violinist Sebastian Sallans and Resident Pianist Dr. Todd Yaniw are responsible for making professional decisions regarding artistic programming. QSCM is managed by a board of directors drawn from our membership. The work of our organization is under taken entirely by volunteers.
